To really make an impression, you need consistency and quality. This project would need to be both these things across nearly 4,000 sq ft of space. Sourcing high grade Tropical Cherry was the relatively easy part.
The intricate part was getting the right colour mix so that the floor-to-wall installation would have depth and character, and still have a continuous flow to it. With less experienced flooring suppliers and installers, several issues can happen — inconsistent grades and extreme colour variation in timber supply, and uneven blocks of light and dark colours during installation.
Fortunately, we enjoy good relationships with sourcing agents and manufacturers who reliably supply clear grade and beautifully blended or almost uniform natural timber strips. We go the extra mile planning the color mixing of every NETWOOD® floor and collaborate with installers to achieve stunningly artful results every time.
This particular installation involved over 1,500 pieces of meticulously arranged hardwood strips and cladding and took five weeks to complete.
