Ordering about 5% to 10% extra (more if the floor goes around stairs or irregular areas) will ensure enough strips to cover the floor. Wood flooring needs to be trimmed to fit and leftover pieces usually cannot be used elsewhere.

Solid wood is a single piece of wood. Engineered wood is made of hardwood and plywood layers. Engineered wood is regarded as very resistant to humidity changes because its thin bonded layers swell and shrink less freely compared to solid wood. But with technology developed by our partners, you can now choose more NETWOOD® solid wood options that are just as stable. When weighing costs, note that engineered wood is hard to resand or finish, while solid wood can be restored many times over.

Random length strips and planks give a more natural appearance. We always ensure a carefully measured ratio of long and short lengths to deliver the best aesthetic. Our flooring typically comes in 300 to 2,100 mm lengths, with the majority being long length planks.
